Bowling Green Brandywine is an 89-bed inpatient treatment facility located in historic Chester County in the southeastern part of the state at Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The location provides easy access and borders Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. We are located 90 minutes from Washington DC and two hours from New York City. The facility is easily accessible from the PA Turnpike and Interstate One and Ninety-five. Treatment is provided in a serene setting with an attractive physical plant. Bowling Green Brandywine gives clear recognition to the disease concept and focuses on the individual patient as a person with dignity and self-worth. Our treatment philofophy is predicated on the belief that chemical dependency is a highly treatable disease and can begin to be arrested through a multi-disciplinary treatment approach that utilizes medical, pharmacological, clinical, behavioral and 12-step interventions. Relapse prevention and discharge planning are also key components in the fight against the deadly disease of addiction. Family education occurs each Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The spouse or significant other is encouraged to attend the Family Program. Family Counseling is conducted each Sunday. Or, if the family's schedule does not permit Sunday participation, a conjoint session will be scheduled through the week based on the family's schedule. A twelve step meeting is scheduled 7 days a week. Bowling Green provides accomodation for the recovering community
